Intersegmental traction — gentle, rolling motion that helps prepare the spine and helps adjustments hold.

Patient relaxing on intersegmental traction table

Gentle, Rhythmic, and Genuinely Relaxing.

You lie face-up on a padded table while rollers travel slowly up and down along either side of your spine. That rolling motion introduces gentle movement segment by segment : which is where the name comes from.

Patients often use it before an adjustment to help the surrounding muscles relax, or after one to help everything settle. It's completely passive, requires nothing from you, and it's one of the few things in the office that people genuinely look forward to. It isn't a substitute for an adjustment : it's what makes the adjustment easier to give and easier to keep.

Helps Adjustments Hold
