CUPPING THERAPY AT BRANNON FAMILY CHIROPRACTIC
Targeted soft tissue work for tight, stubborn muscles.

Most soft tissue work presses down into the muscle. Cupping does the opposite - suction cups lift the skin and underlying tissue away from what's beneath it, decompressing the area instead of compressing it.
Patients typically use it for tight, ropey muscles that keep coming back between adjustments: upper traps, low back, hamstrings, calves.
It's often paired with an adjustment rather than used on its own, because loosening the soft tissue around a restricted joint tends to help the adjustment hold longer. Yes, it can leave circular marks. They're painless and usually fade within a few days.

Upper back and traps, low back, shoulders, hamstrings, and calves.
A firm pulling sensation, not pain. Most patients find it relaxing.
Cups are usually left in place for several minutes per area.
Circular discoloration is normal, painless, and temporary.
